The new chemotherapy protocol is now underway.
In a way, we've started over from scratch. This means that, in the best-case scenario, the end of treatment is now projected for October.
The first few days weren't easy. I experienced significant side effects, particularly nausea. Fortunately, they gradually faded and I feel a little better today.
I came back home yesterday.
As with every return, fatigue remains very present, but I remain optimistic about the continuation of this new protocol. The coming weeks will allow us to gradually measure its effects.
I also want to thank you. Your messages, your thoughtfulness, and the new gifts I received touched me deeply.
During this time, I also had the pleasure of receiving a visit from my family. These shared moments did me a lot of good.
I also feel fortunate to have been able to get through this heatwave in an environment that protected me from the extreme heat. I hope you were also able to endure it under the best possible conditions.
Summer is beginning. For our part, we will continue to share news as we reach important milestones.
Thank you for the many postcards I received. They help me travel a little with you.
I wish you all a wonderful summer.
See you soon,
Piero

Hi Piero, thanks for the news!
I was worried during the heatwave!
Even tired, you must be happy to be home.
Keep your chin up.
Un abbraccio
Fabrizia
Strength and courage. I don't know if you were able to follow the World Cup in the hospital. In any case, you didn't miss anything. Italy is out and France will win the cup.
