As Safyatou indicated in August, a new treatment protocol has been put in place.

We recently received confirmation that I am responding to the treatment according to the expectations of the doctors treating me. And for now, I remain hospitalized at the Daniel Hollard Institute.

This week, and in the coming weeks, I am therefore continuing the chemotherapy cycles. If this positive response is confirmed, the bone marrow transplant project can once again be part of the next steps in my treatment journey.

After the particularly difficult weeks I have been through, I also notice very concrete improvements in my daily life.
My weight, which had dropped a lot over the past few months, is gradually going back up. My energy is also slowly returning and I continue to work on my mobility and balance.

The road is still long and the treatments continue, but my motivation to overcome the illness and its ups and downs remains strong.

I would also like to thank everyone who accompanies and supports me on a daily basis. I had the pleasure of receiving a visit from family members and loved ones. Your messages, postcards, and all the tokens of affection that continue to reach me touch me very much.

September also marks the start of the new school year and a return to a different pace for everyone. On our end, we are very happy with the return of our four children to school and glad to see them resume their activities and daily routine after a vacation that was successful nonetheless.

I hope this back-to-school season also went well for you and your families.
For my part, I continue to move forward, one step at a time, with news that is encouraging today.

Thank you all for your presence and support.

Hi Piero, you are amazing and incredible. In August we spent 4 days in your Turin, elegant, majestic, but... empty! Where do people from Turin go in the summer?! Thinking of you and sending a hug!

This encouraging news fills me with joy!
I'll be visiting Grenoble soon and would be delighted to drop by for a quick visit if allowed by the medical protocol.
    Un abbraccio

Dearest, I am truly relieved to hear that the new treatment is yielding good results and even more so that your energy remains unbroken. The fact that you are able to have visits from your family and especially your children comforts me. You are not alone, even from afar; I think of you often and, as a Christian, I pray incessantly that one day all of this will be overcome. I hug you tight

Ciao! It has been a month since the last news. I hope the treatment is continuing positively. Meanwhile, everyday life has resumed in Treviso with more sustained rhythms. However, there is never a lack of time to think of you… a hug!
