Tonight, I'm writing.
On Friday, we received a call from the doctor treating Piero at the Daniel Hollard Institute.
At this stage, biopsy analysis enables us to make a pre-diagnosis, which will be confirmed in a few days' time: Piero has lymphoma. The type has yet to be confirmed with a definitive diagnosis, but current evidence rules out sarcoma and means that chemotherapy can be started today.
Piero has been under the care of the Daniel Hollard Institute since today, to begin the preparation phase for chemotherapy. The course of treatment will be adjusted in the coming days, as soon as we receive the final diagnosis.
The arrival of spring is therefore bittersweet, but sweet all the same.
In less than an hour, we went from suspended time at home to the very concrete reality of hospital care: examinations, organization, medical exchanges. It's both dizzying and vertiginous.
Piero and I are going to take these few days, until the definitive diagnosis, to organize the rest with the Daniel Hollard Institute and focus on the next steps.
Thank you all for your messages, your thoughts and even your silent readings. Your presence means a lot to Piero and to our family.
We'll keep you posted.

I don't know much about it, but it seems to me like good news among the bad news.
