The new protocol seems to be yielding the desired results. The latest tests conducted a few days ago, particularly the PET scan and the CT scan, are very good. My doctors are satisfied with the progress and believe we are on the right track.<\/span><\/p>\n

The situation remains quite paradoxical, however.<\/span><\/p>\n

On paper, the medical reports are encouraging, and the current protocol seems to be the right one. In the reality of my daily life, the treatment remains very taxing, and its side effects leave me with little respite.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fever and fatigue are still very present and I am currently hospitalized to try and better control them.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is undoubtedly one of the difficulties of this journey: knowing that the treatment is working while sometimes feeling physically worse.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fight against the tumor is therefore continuing in the right direction, but it remains grueling. My morale has its ups and downs, my energy reserves are limited, and I realize more and more each day how much of a marathon this journey is.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are now entering the month of August and a new part of summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite everything, Safyatou and I are happy with this month of July. We really wanted cancer not to steal the children's summer. They were able to leave, travel, and enjoy their activities, while we, on our end, had the necessary space to focus on treatments and the various medical steps.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sequel is also starting to take shape.<\/span><\/p>\n

A new chemotherapy is scheduled for next week. Then, barring any changes, a bone marrow transplant is now part of the planned steps in my treatment. It should take place in Lyon.<\/span><\/p>\n

This prospect naturally comes with its share of apprehension. It's a significant and still unknown new step for me. But I know I am well-supported and that this care will be prepared in coordination with the team at the Daniel Hollard Institute, who continue to monitor my health.<\/span><\/p>\n

For now, I'm staying focused on the current step: recovering, letting the treatment do its work, and moving forward, one day at a time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you to all those who have written to me in recent weeks, sent messages, thoughtful gestures, and postcards. Everything reached me well and continues to touch me deeply.<\/span><\/p>\n
